UI/UX Designer, E-Commerce Platform
Join Pinja to design high-impact, AI-powered e-commerce experiences! We’re seeking a UI/UX Designer ready to drive conversion, own outcomes, and shape the future of digital retail.
Pinja Group is looking for a forward-thinking UI/UX Designer to join our Design Team as e-commerce, digital retail, and transactional platforms expert. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow rapidly, take ownership, and make a significant impact on driving revenue and optimizing customer journeys. You will shape intuitive, elegant, and effective user experiences that drive conversion, minimize cart abandonment, and maximize average order value (AOV), all while leveraging the latest in AI-enhanced design tools and workflows.
You will be an active member of our Design Team, a collaborative community of designers working across product teams to ensure design excellence, consistency, and innovation. Together, we continuously evolve our design practices, tools, and systems. We are seeking someone who not only thrives on user-centered design but is also eager to embrace AI as a co-creator to accelerate ideation, testing, and iteration.
Your responsibilities in short:
Optimize the entire end-to-end purchasing journey, from product discovery to the secure checkout flow and post-purchase experiences.
Design and iterate on high-impact e-commerce components, including product pages, cart experiences, and sophisticated filtering/search interfaces.
Plan and conduct A/B tests and quantitative research to continuously improve Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO).
Drive visual excellence and brand consistency across all touchpoints to build immediate customer trust and elevate the brand perception in a competitive market.
Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs that balance user needs with business goals (revenue and AOV).
Strategically leverage AI-powered design tools to enhance prototyping, ideation, and content creation when justified.
Collaborate closely with product managers and other stakeholders to identify friction points using data and transform them into design solutions.
Contribute to and help evolve our e-commerce design system in close collaboration with the Design Team.
Stay current with industry trends, particularly in AI, interaction design, and new interface paradigms.
What is required to succeed in the task?
Experience designing high-traffic, transactional digital products, with a strong focus on e-commerce, digital retail, or SaaS.
Proficiency in UI/Visual Design principles demonstrated through a portfolio that showcases high-fidelity, visually compelling e-commerce interfaces.
Proficiency of modern design tools such as Figma, with keen interest in leveraging and experimenting with AI-powered features and plugins to enhance efficiency.
Demonstrated portfolio showing successful optimization of e-commerce funnels (e.g., case studies on reducing cart abandonment or improving AOV).
Experience in working with multi-brand design systems.
Experience in both qualitative and quantitative user research, including experience setting up or analyzing A/B tests.
Strong understanding of accessibility and inclusive design.
Ability to balance business goals with customer usability and trust.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Most of your team would be located in Kempele, Tampere or Jyväskylä so ability to work in these locations is an advantage
As most of our customers are based in Finland, Finnish language skills are essential for smooth collaboration and everyday communication.
We welcome designers who are curious and want to grow, even if you don’t meet every requirement. You’ll never be alone: you’ll collaborate closely with our growing Design Team and we support your growth with mentoring, sparring and 10 learning days annually.
Your future team
Our Design Team is small and brand-new (founded in November 2025), which means you’ll have a voice in shaping how we work, collaborate and grow together. We work openly, share ideas early and help each other develop as designers. Your team lead Petja is known for supportive leadership and strong hands-on design expertise. You’ll have a sparring partner who offers clear direction when needed, but also gives you the space to explore and bring your own strengths into the team. The work you do with us will help end-users shop more sustainably, intuitively, and confidently, supporting our mission of building a more sustainable digital world, byte by byte.
